Safari Itinerary
Day 1
Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Morning: Pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Depart for Amboseli National Park (approx. 4-hour drive).
Midday: Arrive at your lodge/camp in Amboseli in time for lunch. Relax and enjoy the serene views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Afternoon: Head out for your first afternoon game drive in Amboseli. This is the best time to spot elephants, as the park is famous for its large elephant herds. You may also see giraffes, zebras, lions, and cheetahs.
Evening: Return to the lodge/camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2
Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
Morning: Enjoy an early morning game drive as you watch the sun rise behind Mount Kilimanjaro. Early morning is the best time for photography and wildlife sightings, as animals are more active in the cooler hours. Spot elephants, buffalos, lions, hyenas, and a variety of bird species.
Midday: Return to the lodge/camp for lunch and a short rest.
Afternoon: Embark on another game drive. Explore the park’s wetlands and swamps, where hippos and numerous water birds gather. Amboseli’s ecosystem supports a wide variety of animals in a relatively small area.
Evening: Return to the lodge/camp for dinner and relaxation under the stars.

Day 3
Day 3: Amboseli to Masai Mara National Reserve
Morning: After an early breakfast, depart Amboseli for the famous Masai Mara (approx. 7-8 hours drive with a stopover for lunch).
Midday: Stop for lunch en route and continue your journey to the Mara, arriving in the late afternoon.
Afternoon: Check in to your lodge or camp and freshen up. If time permits, you can enjoy a short evening game drive to familiarize yourself with the Mara’s landscape.
Evening: Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4
Day 4: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve
Morning: Full-day exploration of the Masai Mara, starting with an early morning game drive. The Mara is famous for its abundant wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, buffalos, cheetahs, hyenas, and various antelope species. If traveling during the migration season (July-October), you may witness the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras cross the Mara River.
Midday: Picnic lunch at a scenic spot in the reserve, allowing you to stay in the bush and maximize your wildlife viewing time.
Afternoon: Continue with game drives, exploring the diverse landscapes of rolling grasslands, acacia trees, and riverine forests. The Mara is rich with wildlife year-round, and you’ll likely see large herds of wildebeests, zebras, and possibly leopards hiding in the trees.
Evening: Return to the lodge/camp for dinner and relaxation.

Day 5
Day 5: Masai Mara to Nairobi
Morning: After breakfast, head out for a final morning game drive in the Mara, soaking up the last moments of the Kenyan wilderness.
Midday: Depart Masai Mara for the drive back to Nairobi, with lunch en route.
Afternoon: Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon. Drop off at your hotel or transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey.
