Safari Itinerary
Day 1
Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Naivasha
Pick-up & Drive to Lake Naivasha:
Early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel. Drive through the Great Rift Valley with beautiful views of the escarpment as you head to Lake Naivasha.
Boat Ride on Lake Naivasha:
Upon arrival, take a scenic boat ride on Lake Naivasha. Spot hippos in the water and enjoy birdwatching with species such as fish eagles, pelicans, and kingfishers.
Crescent Island Walking Safari:
After the boat ride, visit Crescent Island for a guided walking safari. This unique experience allows you to walk among giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and other herbivores in the absence of predators.
Lunch & Relaxation:
Enjoy lunch at a lakeside lodge or camp, followed by some relaxation time.
Optional Activities:
You can explore Hell’s Gate National Park in the afternoon (optional). It’s perfect for cycling, rock climbing, or a hike through the gorge, with beautiful landscapes and geothermal activity.
Dinner & Overnight:
Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay by the shores of Lake Naivasha.
Day 2
Day 2: Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park
Breakfast & Drive to Lake Nakuru:
After breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, which is approximately 1.5 hours away.
Game Drive in Lake Nakuru:
Upon arrival, enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is known for its flamingo-covered lake (seasonal) and excellent wildlife, including endangered rhinos.
Lake Nakuru Highlights: Spot white and black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, and buffaloes. The park is also home to predators like lions and leopards.
Makalia Falls & Baboon Cliff:
Visit Makalia Falls and enjoy the panoramic views of the park from Baboon Cliff. It’s a great spot for photography and birdwatching.
Lunch & Afternoon Game Drive:
After lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive to see more of the park’s wildlife. The park’s diverse ecosystems include forests, grasslands, and the lake itself.
Return to Nairobi:
After the game drive, depart Lake Nakuru and drive back to Nairobi, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport in the evening.
