Safari Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Pick-up & Drive to Amboseli:

Early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or airport by your safari guide.

Begin the drive south towards Amboseli, passing through scenic landscapes and rural villages. Enjoy views of Mt. Kilimanjaro along the way, weather permitting.

Arrival & Lunch:

Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in Amboseli around midday, just in time for lunch. Settle into your accommodation and relax before the afternoon game drive.

Afternoon Game Drive:

Head out for your first game drive in Amboseli. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, so expect to see plenty of elephants moving across the dusty plains.

Amboseli Highlights: As the sun begins to set, watch the iconic silhouettes of elephants with the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background. This is also the time to spot predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas as they begin their evening hunts.

Dinner & Overnight:

Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, with an evening of relaxation in the heart of nature.

Day 2

Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli National Park

Morning Game Drive:

Early morning is the best time for a game drive, as many animals are active before the heat of the day. Spot herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and antelopes grazing across the open plains. Lions and cheetahs may be spotted stalking their prey, and leopards are occasionally seen in the trees.

Breakfast & Full-Day Game Drive:

Return to your lodge for breakfast, then head out for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. Explore different areas of the park, especially the swampy areas, which are fed by underground springs from Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Lunch in the Wild:

Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the beautiful surroundings of Amboseli, with a chance to take in the sights and sounds of the wilderness.

Afternoon Game Drive:

Continue exploring Amboseli in the afternoon, visiting areas you haven’t explored yet. Your guide will take you to prime wildlife viewing spots, enhancing your chances of spotting more elephants, predators, and other animals.

Dinner & Overnight:

Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Day 3: Amboseli to Nairobi

Early Morning Game Drive (Optional):

One last early morning game drive to catch the sunrise over Mt. Kilimanjaro and see animals that are active at dawn.

Breakfast & Departure:

Return to the lodge for breakfast, then check out for your journey back to Nairobi.

Drive Back to Nairobi:

Enjoy the scenic drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon.

Drop-off:

You will be dropped off at your Nairobi hotel or airport, concluding your Amboseli safari adventure.
